Cornwall Garden Society Daytime Lecture
Learning from The Land Gardeners: How to feed and heal the soil in your garden and grow cut flowers throughout the year
The Cornwall Garden Society’s (CGS) February lectures will be given by Henrietta Courtauld and Bridget Elworthy who established The Land Gardeners to research plant and soil health through growing, cutting and designing.
The Land Gardeners’ mission is to work with gardeners and farmers to improve the health of our land – creating beautiful plants, gardens and farms brimming with biodiversity and life – all founded on healthy soil.
The Land Gardeners also design productive gardens, which are wild, romantic and joyful. They have restored historic gardens in England, France, Italy, New Zealand and Zimbabwe, run workshops and host garden tours.
How to Feed and Heal the Soil in Your Garden will be The Land Gardeners’ subject on Tuesday 11th February at 7.30pm at The Alverton, Truro TR1 1ZQ and Cut Flowers Throughout the Year will be their focus on Wednesday 12th February at 2.30pm at St Mellion International Resort, Saltash PL12 6SD.
These lectures are free for CGS members. Non-members are welcome to attend to find out more about the Society and donations are gratefully received.
