In 1968, a Hungarian university student, Miklós Tóth (Martin Mészáros), falls in love with an English girl, Alexandra Parmenter (Ágnes Barta), in Budapest. Their passionate love story is shattered by history, and what begins as a deeply emotional connection soon turns into a twisted, mysterious tale. The narrative unfolds across two timelines, as Miklós, now 76, embarks on a quest to uncover the mystery that has haunted him for half a century. As the past unravels, the truth emerges: fifty years later, it is revealed that the Communist secret service had been closely monitoring their every move.
