Celtic (Welsh+Irish) Night
Once again we are combining the celebration of St David’s Day and St Patrick’s Day on one night.
Tunes, songs, poems, stories, or whatever you want to bring along – from or about Wales (in English or Welsh) or Ireland.
Word sheets will be available to help you join in the choruses. You can also download them from the Club’s website, on the Music page www.glossoplabourclub.org.uk/music where you will also find translations of some of the Welsh songs.
There will be a taste of Welsh and Irish food too – but not a full scale meal this year (no cawl or laverbread), but there will be a selection of cheeses, plus Welsh cakes, bara brith/.bairín breac (barmbrack).
Admission is free; we will ask for donations to cover the cost of the food.
