Divertimento String Quartet concert on March 8th at 3pm
St John's Church, Totnes
For the first DSQ concert in 2025, we bring you one of Mozart’s most well-known string quartets, nicknamed ‘The Dissonance’ because of its mysterious introduction.
Next you will hear three very short and really quirky movements by Stravinsky, composed shortly after The Rite of Spring.
The programme will be rounded off by Mendelssohn’s joyful Quartet in D, which was composed when he was 28. It is one of a set of three, and his particular favourite.
