My father’s family name being Pirrip,
and my christian name Philip,
my infant tongue could make of both names nothing longer or more explicit than Pip.
So, I called myself Pip
and came to be called Pip.

At the centre of this story is Pip, whose journey from childhood to adulthood, through fortune and misfortune, in love and tragedy, is played out by a group of actors who are themselves on the brink of adulthood. This fluid ensemble production explores what it truly means to grow up.
