Latino Weekends: Flavours and Finds
As Latino carnival season is in full swing, The Market at Elephant Park is excited to announce Latino
Weekends: Flavours and Finds. Kicking-off on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 March 2025 from 12pm-5pm, the
outdoor market in Elephant & Castle will be bringing you a series of fun interactive workshops*, live music
performances and delicious street food all celebrating Latin American culture.
Taking place every weekend until Sunday 23 March, Latino Weekends: Flavours and Finds is the perfect way
to enjoy a solo day-out or spend time with friends and family. Each weekend will spotlight a different Latino
country, taking you on a journey through Colombia, Brazil, Mexico and Venezuela.
With a jam-packed programme of workshops held inside The Tree House adjacent to the market, you can
explore Latin American craft, music, and food and drink, whilst learning about the rich traditions of each
country. Workshops are bookable via www.elephantparkmarket.co.uk and only cost a fiver each.
The workshops are led by knowledgeable instructors who are immersed in the Latin American community.
You can try your hand at making and tasting delicious Latin American delights like fruity Brazilian açai bowls
and Colombian coffee, or learn about the historical and cultural significance of chillies in Mexican cuisine.
Channel your inner mixologist as you make refreshing Colombian Canelazos or Caipirinhas, Brazil’s national
cocktail. Whether you’re a cocktail connoisseur or newcomer, you can enjoy tastings of Mezcal and Tequila
whilst learning about the traditional production process of these iconic Mexican spirits. (Both alcoholic and
non-alcoholic options will be available). There will also be the opportunity to make zesty Venezuelan
Papelón con Limón drinks.
