How I Made a WWI Film

Letters Home is a short film commemorating and remembering the Welsh soldiers who gave their lives during the First World War.

The film, written and produced by Jacqueline (Jaye) Swift of Llantwit Major, was inspired after touring WWI Battlefields in Flanders.

The story follows three young soldiers writing what could be their final letters home before going over the top on the first day of the Battle of the Somme.

Jaye had never made a film before, nor her crew, nor the actors. It went on to win Best Welsh Short at the Cardiff International Film Festival.

Jaye will screen the film during her presentation and explain how she made it.
