If you have always wanted to join a choir locally, you can!
The Haywards Heath Rock Choir is led by West Sussex based musician and teacher Emma Steele. We support a number of local charities, raising money and awareness around West Sussex and as a choir we also join up with other branches of Rock Choir to support national charities such as Comic Relief, Missing People and Refuge with flash mobs, fundraising events and performances.
Joining a choir can be a brave step to take for some and in light of this Emma tries to make it as easy as possible for you by giving the opportunity to have a FREE taster session and then to have a chat with her about singing. Rock Choir is the leading group in community singing. We launched our FREE choir taster sessions back in 2005 and have 19 years experience giving members of the public who are new to community singing the chance to try joining a choir without the need to audition or read music.
Here is a quote about our choir - 'Why I love Rock Choir: I've had lupus for over 16 years. I get to forget that once a week and I feel like I've achieved something in life now, as I've had to give everything else up because of it.' - Sheryl (Rock Choir member)
Rock Choir is a winner of the Red Ribbon 'Big Heart' Award. and holds 1 former and 2 current Guinness World Records. The choir is also credited with single handedly starting the contemporary choir movement.
