Harviestoun Community Garden, Dollar: A Natural Oasis in the Making.

We are very lucky to have Keith to talk about the wealth of local wildlife found in the area around the community garden and the potential the site has for benefiting nature in the future. There is no entry fee for the talk and we will be taking donations towards the community garden project.

Keith is a nature writer and newspaper columnist. He writes a weekly ‘Outdoors’ column for The Courier and The Press & Journal newspapers, as well as his ‘On the Wildside’ column for the Alloa Advertiser. He is a trustee of the Forth Rivers Trust, and a trustee and editor of The Forth Naturalist & Historian. He has written four books - his first, If Rivers Could Sing, which is about a wildlife year on the River Devon, was shortlisted in Scotland’s National Book Awards. His second, A Scottish Wildlife Odyssey, is a nature travel journey through Scotland, while his third, Wild Quest Britain, is a wildlife travel adventure through England, Wales and Scotland. He has also written A Snorkeller’s Guide to the Mediterranean. His latest book, Wild Edinburgh, will be published shortly.
