J.S Bach was inspired by many composers of his time, and also those who came before him. He once even walked 250 miles to hear the great Buxtehude play, such was his admiration for the composer and organist. This concert, and its pre-concert talk (included in ticket), explores the much-loved composer’s influences through cantatas sung by the Festival Chorus and solo organ music performed by the outstanding organist Stephen Farr on Marlow’s beautiful organ — including a rendition of the famous Toccata and Fugue in D minor…
