Murder Mystery At Missenden Abbey
“History is a set of lies agreed upon,” said the Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte (allegedly), and in the case of murder, he may well be right.
The year is 1929, nearly 800 years of so-called ‘history’ has happened within the hallowed portals of Missenden Abbey, and so we arrive at a night to remember. Everyone there is considered the Brightest & the Best, cordially invited to attend by socialite and philanthropist Jennifer Carrington, famous for her parties and her love of Martinis.
Guests arrive in the latest automobiles, as matinee idols mingle with master builders, lion-tamers with lorimers, solicitors with surgeons. All were invited and all hastily RSVP-ed to drink and dine within the neo-gothic walls of the country house at Missenden. After all, they might never be invited to another!
But all is not as it seems, as how the evening plays out, is far different than anything anyone could have imagined!

- Hunter’s style chicken breast served with seasonal vegetables and dauphinoise potatoes
- Wild mushroom and squash risotto with parmesan crisps served with seasonal vegetables (v)
Dessert:
- Chocolate truffle torte
- Fruit salad
