About this Event
The Fife Show
Come to Kinloss on 24th May and watch showing classes for livestock - see the horses in action in ridden, driven and jumping classes. The Fife Show will again hold Horse of the Year Show qualifiers for the Barber Family British Ridden Heavy Horse of the Year Championship and the Gogar Services Driven Heavy Horse of the Year Championship.
Royal Highland Show Showjumping qualifiers will again be held over both Saturday and Sunday (which is Showjumping only!).
The Dog & Pet Shows, and Scurry, can be entered on Show Day - bring your two or four-legged friend and take part.
The Sheep Show and 3SIXTY Bike Team will entertain you – come and cheer them on! Learn about different sheep breeds and watch them dance to their own tunes!
The Game Fair Area has gundogs, birds of prey and ferret racing. Cupar Pipe Band will play around the field. Watch horseshoes being made and fitted and how to shear a sheep! Later in the day the Young Farmers Tug O’ War takes place.
Marquees in the Second Field include Eggs classes and Home Produce sections. The Food & Cookery Theatre, organised by Food from Fife, has demos on throughout the day. The same tent has Craft and Food & Drink sections, with a wide range of gifts and local produce on offer. 150 trade stands offer endless possibilities. Sit in our covered Picnic Area to enjoy the wide variety of fresh food on offer.
The Show is very much a family event with plenty to see and do. The Kids Countryside tent has activities for families to take part in, as well as storytelling sessions and Animal Mans lizards and snakes. Nearby are Rare Breed animals and alpacas. Youngsters can become Fife Show Explorers, following the Showground Trail, and answering a quiz along the way.
Fife Show is a great day out for all the family but is still, first and foremost, a traditional agricultural Show with Long Service Medals for agri/rural workers presented in the Main Ring.
