Dragons Arise! at Brancepeth Castle – Saturday 22nd March, 2–5pm.
With the arrival of Spring, the dragons awaken! Join us for an exciting family event at Brancepeth Castle, near Durham, featuring dragon storytelling, puppets (including the impressive three-person Lambton Worm), medieval re-enactments, stories, performances and crafts for all ages. Discover North-East dragon folklore in the Radical Dragons exhibition, wield a sword with Outlaws and Vagabonds. Try crown-making, dragon masks or crafting your own mini monster. Come dressed as a knight, princess, or dragon if you like, and meet beautiful handcrafted dragon puppets. Enjoy drinks and snacks in the café or bring a picnic.
