MPO Musical Theatre are excited to present their next production, The Witches Of Eastwick, April 23rd to 26th. This dark musical comedy, containing adult themes, follows three divorcees at various stages of their lives. One thing in common cements their relationship - the desire to be loved and ultimately break free from the confines of a small-minded town. Join them as they discover the power of self-belief and the value of friendship.
The Witches of Eastwick (based on the 1984 novel by John Updike) hit the big screen in 1987 and starred Jack Nicholson, Cher, Susan Sarandon and Michelle Pfeiffer and became a Cameron Mackintosh production soon after, subsequently running on Broadway and in The West End.
It features three single women looking for love, but suffocated by the confines of small-town mentality. Their prayers are answered by the 'magical' arrival of Darryl Van Horne, but at what cost? Can good overcome Evil?
