About this Event
Swadlincote Festival of Words 2025
A four day festival full of words in all of their glory. From author and poet visits to performances and plays, spoken word events, workshops and so much more. Highlights include:
- Tony Hawks, the Comedian, Author & TV Personality who travelled around Ireland with a fridge on his back.
- Mr Sleepybum, the children’s theatre show that will have you in stitches with his whimsical adventures and abject brand of silliness while performing dream scenes.
- Laura Pearson, number one bestselling author of The Last List of Mabel Beaumont.
- Joanna Cannon, Sunday Times bestselling author of The Trouble With Goats and Sheep and Three Things About Elsie.
- Steve Smallman, Award Winning Children’s Author of Poo in the Zoo and Maggie Sparks
- The Potty Plotters, the two funny, often naughty and sometimes rude, ‘allotmenteers’ who share their tales of gardening and life as it happens.
With literally, something for everyone, you can read the full programme and book tickets on the festival website.
