Fauré Requiem Concert
This wonderful concert is sung by approximately 50 members of St Mary’s Singers under the direction of Terry McNamara and organist Francis Rumsey. Doors will open at 5.30 and drinks will be available from the bar. The first part of the programme will include a short organ recital and four well-known anthems:-
Evening Hymn – Balfour Gardiner
God So Loved the World – Stainer
O Saviour of the World – Goss
How Lovely is thy dwelling place - Brahms
After the interval, during which you can enjoy drinks from the bar, the choir will sing the full score of the beautiful Fauré Requiem. The concert will be finished by 7.30pm.
