Spring Concert - Over Land and Sea

Travel on an evocative journey across land and sea with St Cecilia Orchestra and grand finalist in Cardiff Singer of the World, Beth Taylor. Mahler’s Symphony No 1, with it’s musical links to his song cycle ‘Songs of a Wayfarer’ meets Helena Munktell’s rich and colourful depiction of the sea, ‘Breaking Waves’ and Elgar’s well-loved setting of 5 nautical poems, ’Sea Pictures’, sung by mezzo soprano, Beth Taylor, lauded for her ’strong presence’, sensational coloratura’ and ‘intriguing depth’.
