Daniel Swani Based in East London, Daniel enjoys a varied career in music, owing to his versatility as an equally passionate flautist and recorder player. Recent highlights have included performing regularly with the Royal Ballet and Opera Orchestra, recording under Sir Mark Elder as principal piccolo with The Hallé, and working as a recorder soloist with the BBC Concert Orchestra. As an orchestral flautist, Daniel has played as regular guest principal piccolo and sub-principal flute with the Orchestra of the Royal Ballet and Opera as well as The Hallé, Philharmonia Orchestra, Sinfonia of London (John Wilson), Opera North, London Chamber Orchestra and guest principal baroque flute with Armonico Consort. He is also guest principal recorder with the London Contemporary Orchestra with whom he recently recorded the soundtrack for ‘The Wonder’ starring Florence Pugh.
