Cantilena Choir & Orchestra presents Handel’s ACIS AND GALATEA

Cantilena Choir & Orchestra presents Handel's ACIS AND GALATEA

We're stepping out into new territory for Cantilena! This year, our spring concert is the wonderful production of George Frideric Handel's Acis and Galatea. This is the story of Acis, a shepherd, and Galatea, a sea-nymph, who fell in love, but whose love story also includes Polyphemus, a monster cyclops, also smitten with Galatea. Handel's composition tells the story of love, tragedy and triumph in Greek mythology. We'll be joined by 4 amazing soloists on the night, including:

Patrick Burrowes as Acis
Maisie Lewis as Galatea
Christopher Hodges as Polyphemus
and Henry Bevan as Damon.

We hope to see you all there!
