Beethoven with St John’s Chamber Orchestra

Beethoven with St John's Chamber Orchestra

Beethoven: 'Emperor' Piano Concerto; Violin Romance in G; Symphony No.4
Free for Under 18s
Prize-winning Hong Kong pianist Alex Wun is the soloist in what a contemporary critic described as ‘without doubt one of the most original, imaginative, most effective but also one of the most difficult of all concertos’. It has remained an outstanding part of the concert repertoire ever since, and St John's CO is delighted to bring this outstanding pianist to Maidenhead to perform it. We welcome back RAM Scholar Eleanor Holmes once more in the lyrical second Romance for Violin and Orchestra, before The bright and vibrant Symphony No.4 concludes the evening, which forms the penultimate concert in the orchestra's Beethoven Cycle.

Norden Farm is fully accessible, with free parking. The welcoming Cafe Bar offers drinks and snackes before, and offers or a two course meal (main course and a dessert) before the concert for just £19, when purchased at the same time as your tickets.
