East Bedfordshire Chamber Choir: Bach & other music you have to hear!
Our concert programme, conducted by Bene't Coldstream, will consist of music by Bach in the first half and a wide variety of choral pieces in the second half.
First half:
Jesu meine Freude BWV 227 (the main work) accompanied by David Della Valle on keyboard.
Also Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring (choir with organ) and two Bach pieces for organ, Organist Rob Butcher.
The second half is mostly sung a cappella and includes:
Hymn to the Virgin - Benjamin Britten,
O nata lux de lumine - Morten Lauridsen,
Lux Aurumque - Eric Whitacre,
Mirdz Svecites (a fun Latvian song) and Ave Maria by Rihards Dubra,
an arrangement of Scarborough Fair by Mark Williams,
and an organ piece, Offbeat Toccata by Rosalie Bonighton
