Guided Walk of Ancient Wensleydale – 1st April
Join us on a guided walk in Wensleydale.
Start time: 0930hrs
The route will be a circular one starting / ending at the Aysgarth Falls car park where you will find toilets and refreshments.
The walk will take in the medieval village of Carperby, then head up onto the hills above to explore and see more history of the area.
The walk is approx. 9-10km, and should take around 3-4hrs including a lunch stop.
Terrain will be mixed countryside footpaths, open hills and tarmac. It could be muddy / slippery in places, and there are one or two steep sections, but all accessible on foot.
Bring food and drink with you, and clothes suitable for the weather and duration on the day, plus some spare warm layers alongside a hat and gloves.
This is a dog friendly walk – owners are reminded however that dogs must be under control at all times during the walk, and you are entirely responsible for your dog.
