From 13th – 16th August, Kenley Holiday Workshop are performing GREASE which is the story of a “will they?, won’t they?” teenage romance, set against an emotional mix of adolescent troubles.
Love, gangs, violence, teen pregnancy and friendship are all here – along with the much-loved score of hummable tunes with energetic dances to match.
Everywhere GREASE plays, it strikes a chord with audiences. It doesn’t really have a message for us, but that doesn’t matter!
With its mix of adolescent angst, vibrant physicality and 50’s pop culture – it gives a snapshot of what it was like to be that new invention – a teenager – when your hair, your friends and rock’n’roll were the most important things in life…
The performances are at 7.30pm and tickets costing £18.00 are available from www.barntheatreoxted.co.uk
