Shirley House Interfaith Centre is a place for dialogue, friendship and mutual understanding, in recognition of our common humanity and in celebration of the wonderfully diverse faith communities of Sheffield. By meeting in a spirit of mutual respect, we hope to learn about one another’s faiths and beliefs and thereby to deepen our understanding of our own.
We have monthly evening meetings with talks, discussions, films and social events. Everybody welcome, of all faiths or none.
Our next meeting is on Tuesday 29th April at 7:30 pm, when Suzanne Martin will lead discussion about how we can develop a faith practice that grows and evolves as we do; and how we bridge the gap between historical accounts and subjective experience. She will talk about contemporary heathen faith practice and her debut book FrithHeart, which offers a unique collection of over 400 devotionals written with adaptability and inclusivity in mind. The venue is Shirley House, 31 Psalter Lane, S11 8YL.
Booking not required, no admission charge. Refreshments included.
