Fancy making your own Flint Arrowhead? Spend the morning with expert Flint Knapper Josh Bluemore to learn this vital skill in Stone Age Britain.
Flint knapping is the primitive art of making sharp edged stone tools using a hammerstone to strike the stone. These could be simple blades and scrapers or ornate knives and arrowheads. Learn the process of shaping the stone using a hammer stone and a variety of techniques from knapping to pressure flaking to create your own arrowhead. You will then use cordage to create a necklace suitable for a Stone Age Warrior prince or princess!
“Highly recommend the flint knapping workshop. A fresh morning outdoors with the warmth of an open fire, learning a craft from the past and creating our own pieces to take home. Thank you so much Celtic Harmony Camp for putting on this activity and Josh Bluemore for sharing your knowledge and skills. We really enjoyed it!” Jodie Weston, 4/3/25
