Yeovil Hospice Glorious Garden and Earth Day Celebration
Glorious Garden at Yeovil Hospice Hub
Join us for the first Glorious Garden of the year at Yeovil Hospice Hub, where our beautiful spring garden will be in full bloom! Wander through our winding paths, surrounded by colourful tulips and blossoming trees, and enjoy a relaxing cup of tea with delicious homemade cakes from our hospice kitchen and pick up your 2025 Glorious Gardens Brochure with 50 gardens to visit over the spring and summer.
Earth Day Celebration & Family Fun
To celebrate Earth Day, we have a fun-filled day planned:
Scavenger Hunt – Children can explore the garden, searching for natural treasures, including a special coloured pebble to keep!
Meet Busy Bee – Our friendly bee will be buzzing around, spreading eco-friendly cheer.
Garden Tours – Join our Head Gardener, Lee, for guided tours showcasing wildlife habitats and even badger scrapes on the lawn!
Raffle, Shopping & Eco-Friendly Activities
Glorious Garden Raffle – Fantastic prizes to be won – drawn in September 2025
Tombola & Eco-Friendly Hamper – Try your luck!
Donate Old Tech – Bring unwanted laptops, phones, and computer towers for the Somerset Fixy Project, where they’ll be data-cleansed and repurposed for those in digital poverty.
Meet Our Green Team – Learn about sustainability, water conservation with Wessex Water, and how we’re working to reduce waste.
Eco-Friendly Shopping – Browse unique, handcrafted items made from recycled materials by local crafters.
Metal Allium Garden Ornament Workshop – Create a stunning garden ornament with Julian Bird from Reclamation Creations (£10 per person). Pre-book at reclamationcreations@aol.com or sign up on the day!
