Alvechurch Gardens - Open Garden for NGS

Large village inc new development and historically interesting core with buildings spanning medieval to Edwardian and St Laurence Church dedicated in 1239 and refurbished in 1857 by William Butterfield. There is a selection of lovely open gardens ranging from a riverside previous rectory with waterfall to a corner plot gardened for wildlife. There are professionally landscaped terraced gardens and cottage gardens with lots of colour. Also a large moated garden on the site of the Bishop of Worcester's Summer Palace. Around the gardens there are mature trees, rose beds, shrubberies, herbaceous borders and fruit and vegetable beds. Some gardens inc sculptures.
