The garden is set in the historic Turton Tower grounds and was originally the kitchen garden in Victorian times. A group of volunteers have restored and created the garden over the last 15 yrs. The garden today consists of raised vegetable beds and soft fruit areas but most of the garden is divided into smaller feature gardens. Turton Tower's history is reflected in its Tudor and Victorian beds. More contemporary gardens are The White Garden and Japanese Garden. There are also 2 long herbaceous borders with a large variety of perennials. We have an interesting variety of ferns and shade loving plants in our stumperies. Our new garden is a wildlife garden and pond surrounding the ruined Bothy funded by a grant from the NGS. Plants, cards and jam will be for sale.
