A variety of gardens set in this attractive Chiltern village in an AONB. You can start off at one end of the village and wander through stopping off halfway for tea at the beautiful Anglo-Saxon church built in 975. The church has recently received a lottery grant for restoration and many medieval wall paintings have been found. Tours will be given of these discoveries. The gardens reflect different style houses inc several old cottages, converted barns, Elizabethan and Georgian houses (houses not open). There are herbaceous borders, shrubs, trees, old-fashioned roses, hostas, topiary, Koi and lily ponds, kitchen gardens, play areas for children and the River Misbourne runs through a few. Some gardens are highly colourful and others just green and peaceful.
