Calder House Lane Gardens - Open Garden for NGS
The gardens range from a small satellite to a large (relatively new) garden featuring over 100 hosta varieties. They are mainly cottage gardens in style, each having its own features and interest. The small front gardens have all been made to 3 very different designs. No 1 has a satellite garden at the top of the track, a small but beautiful use of the space, making a tranquil haven. No 2's garden is divided into 3 rooms, a cottage garden, a secluded seating area and finally a greenhouse with vegetables and fruit. A newly built garden room adds to this lovely garden. No 3 has the largest garden, planted with perennials, trees, roses, hostas (over 100 varieties mainly in pots) and shrubs with a separate fruit and cut flower garden and greenhouse.
