Elmton is a lovely little village situated on a stretch of rare unimproved Magnesian limestone grassland with quaking grass, bee orchids and harebells all set in the middle of attractive, rolling farm land. It has a pub, which serves food all day, a church and a village green with award winning wildlife conservation area and a village Pinfold. The very colourful but different open gardens have wonderful views. They show a range of gardening styles, themed beds and several have a commitment to fruit and vegetable growing. Elmton received a gold award and was voted best small village for the 7th time and best wildlife and conservation area in the East Midlands in Bloom competition in 2019.
