The Gargrave Art Exhibition showcases the talent of local professional and amateur artists with over three hundred pieces of work including original paintings, textiles, printmaking and ceramics, most of which are for sale. Funds raised from the exhibition help support the activities of the village hall and its community.
The exhibition welcomes over a thousand visitors every year and with artists of all ages working in a wide variety of styles and media, there is something for everyone to enjoy. In addition to the main exhibition, there are displays from Gargrave Church of England Primary School, Gargrave Guides and the residents of Milton Nursing Home.
The Art Section at Gargrave Village Hall was originally set up in the 1960’s and the first Art Exhibition was held in June 1970. Having being unable to host a show for two years because of the pandemic, this will be the fifty third time that local artists, volunteers from Gargrave and visitors come together to celebrate local talent and creativity and raise funds for the village hall.
Please come along and take a look in July!
