Make it with marmalade, One day Introduction to Printmaking workshop

This is a comprehensive, hands-on, introductory workshop for someone that has no experience, but would like to try both Intaglio and Relief printmaking techniques over one day. You will work in a small group with lots of one-to-one tuition designed to help you decide what direction you might like to pursue as a printmaker in the future. By the end of the day, you will have an understanding of printmaking as an art form, be comfortable using our printmaking equipment and will have designed and produced at least one Drypoint Etching and a Linocut print yourself. Printmaking workshops at marmalade are held in the relaxed and creative environment of our lovely garden studio in Soham, where we provide you with all the materials you need, along with tea, coffee, biscuits (or cake) and a light homemade lunch. You must be 18 or over to book a space on this course. Although our inks are washable and we have aprons in the studio, we recommend that you don’t wear your best clothes when you visit us, as printmaking can be a bit messy. Here's what one of our students, Deborah has said about working with us on this workshop I just wanted to say a huge thank you for such a brilliant, extensive and well organised course. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and learned so much. I was rather nervous, but you were both supportive and encouraging, and, after such a long break from doing artwork, it meant a great deal to me.
