Plant Fair at Whittington Castle, Shropshire on Good Friday 29th March
Spring is in the air and its time to get out in the garden and get planning and planting for the year ahead and where better to get inspiration than at a Plant Hunters Fair. With FREE ENTRY to this plant fair (normal car parking charges apply). The event offers the opportunity to pop along and visit many specialist nurseries to get your gardening season off to a great start. All the nurseries attending are happy to offer expert advice to help less experienced gardeners select the right plants for their gardens. “For true ‘plantaholics’ there are always those little treasures to discover that can’t be obtained elsewhere.
The strikingly picturesque and romantic ruins are steeped in much history, tales of bitter border warfare, romance and legend. Whittington is a small rural community in Shropshire close to the market town of Oswestry. Whittington Castle sits in the centre of this lovely village. The existing Castle is set in about 12 acres of grounds and is the remains of a Norman home.
Access to the grounds of Whittington Castle is free.

Whittington Castle is situated in the centre of Whittington village. 2 miles east of Oswestry. It is Just 25 minutes from Shrewsbury (A5), and 35 minutes from Chester (A483).
The fair runs on FRIDAY 29th March from 10am-4pm
