Idle and Thackley Theatre Group

The Idle and Thackley Theatre Group are a friendly amateur dramatics group and one of the most experienced groups in the region, having staged productions for 90 years.

The main group put on at least three productions each year, including our very popular Pantomime and teach an increasing number of youngsters (the IT Kids) which also put on their own productions.

For over 20 years now they have rented the top floor of the Idle and Thackley Conservative Club, where over the years enthusiastic members past and present, have built a stage, sound and lighting box, dressing rooms, decorated and re-decorated rooms, put down a new floor, installed a new lighting rig, built a new kitchen, and made many more improvements, to make “The Little Theatre” a pleasant place for audiences to visit.
