The Northamptonshire County Federation of Womens Institutes (NCFWI) has over 100 branches all over Northamptonshire, from Glapthorn, Gretton and Ashley Welland Valley in the north to King's Sutton, Aynho and Charlton in the South, Raunds and Hargrave in the east with Yelvertoft, Kilsby and Barby in the west. Nationally there are 69 Federations with over 6000 WIs in England and Wales. There's sure to be a WI near you. Every WI is different. Some have under 15 members, others have over 50. All women are welcome, from aged 18 upwards.
Fun and friendship is the key in meeting our ideals.
WIs meet monthly, with other get-togethers between monthly meetings. During the pandemic many met via Zoom and encouraged new members. The WI is based around Education with the 4 'C's' following - Campaigning, Cookery, Craft and Companionship. Companionship is key - members become friends, supporting each other through good and bad, especially during this pandemic. Find out more and join us!
