Bedfordshire Archives

Bedfordshire Archives is the county record office for Bedfordshire. It collects, preserves and makes available the documentary heritage of the historic county.

Events run by the service are used to promote the understanding and use of the wide variety of documents held by the service. This may help you to carry out historical research and inspire you to create something of your own - be that family or social history, creative writing or works of art.

The service is based in Bedford but tries to hold events throughout the county often in collaboration with Central Bedfordshire or Luton Libraries or local heritage organisations.
