Things to do around Cumbria

If you're planning a day out in Cumbria, England's most northern-west county, you're in for a treat. Cumbria covers the Lake District, Eden Valley, the North Pennines, and a small part of the Yorkshire Dales. Here are some delightful activities to consider:

1. Conquer the Old Man of Coniston:
- Situated in the heart of the Lake District, the Old Man of Coniston is the highest point in traditional Cumbria. Choose from different walking routes, which can take up to 3 hours. The direct route starts from Coniston and offers amazing views of Lake Coniston once you reach the top. Be prepared for strenuous hiking, but the vistas are worth it! Best attempted in good weather due to strong winds and rain risks.

2. Explore Eden Valley and North Pennines:
