Justyna Posluszna is the organist at the Church of Saints Peter and Paul, Lincoln. She was born in Poland. She graduated in piano and organ at Arthur Rubinstein Secondary Music School in Bydgoszcz (Poland) under F. Templin. She then studied organ at the Paderewsky Music Academy in Poznan under Professor S. Kaminski. During her study she took part in several International Organ Competitions and was a finalist of 3rd Sweelinck International Organ Competition in Gdansk and semi-finalist of 2nd Nowowiejsky International Organ Competition in Poznan. At the same time she was performing as a harpsichordist with a chamber orchestra - La Quattro Staggioni. She took part in many organ festivals in Poland, Czech Republic, Germany and Austria.
After graduating in hapsichord which she studied under Prof M. Banaszkiewicz-Bryla she formed a piano trio (Summer Trio) as artistic manager and pianist, touring around USA and Caribbean Islands.
Since 2009 she has been living in Lincoln where she works in the hospitality industry and helps at St Giles (Lincoln) and Our Lady of Lincoln as an organist.
The recital will commence at 1.00pm, lasting about 45 minutes. Light refreshments will be available from 12.15pm.
Admission is free but a retiring collection is requested, the profit from which goes into the fund for the maintenance of this fine instrument.
